The Better Business Skills programme is offered on a Fully Funded basis to North East residents. You will be required to provide the relevant evidence from the list below to your Skills Adviser when registering onto the programme in order to access this Funding:

  • Proof of Age / Identity – Photographic ID (Passport, Driving License etc)
  • National Insurance Number
  • Proof of Address – Utility Bill or similar
  • Proof of Income (if applicable) – Wage Slip
  • Proof of Benefits (if applicable)
    • Job Seekers Allowance – Copy of an official letter from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) or Bank statements showing benefit payments
    • Employment and Support Allowance – “Proof of benefit” letter which can be downloaded online via the GOV.UK website, a copy of your Fit Note or your ESA award notice
    • Universal Credit – Most recent Universal Credit award notice or Monthly statement from your Universal Credit online account

Your Skills Adviser will only need to view this evidence – we will not take or keep copies
