

North of Tyne Business Support Fund Grant Application
Eligibility
The North of Tyne Business Support Fund provides grants towards bespoke business improvement projects – businesses in the North of Tyne Catchment are able to access up to 50% funding towards projects costing between £3000 and £8000.
- The fund is only able to support certain types of project where external expertise is being purchased to develop the business – capital purchases, printing and advertising costs cannot be funded.
- When we’ve confirmed your eligibility, you’ll need to supply a written quote from your chosen provider within two weeks. You must be in a position to start your project when you receive your funding contract.
- Please note: This application form is for businesses based in the North of Tyne catchment only, and not all businesses will be eligible for funding. Completing this form will give us the information we need to assess your eligibility against the UK Shared Prosperity Fund criteria. Submission of the application does not guarantee the award of a grant.

- This grant will be awarded under Minimal Financial Assistance and as such is subject to State Aid Cumulation rules. The company cannot receive more than £315,000 combined from schemes subject to cumulation rules and we will require details of any state aid received during the current period to date and the full 2 years previous periods (April 1st is the start of a year for this purpose). Please note if your company is more than 25% owned/controlled by another then any state aid they have received may also need to be counted.

We anticipate that some of the clients that have had offers may not proceed, or use less than the full amount offered to them, in which case there may be funds to reallocate.
